What we collect

Information you give us. Name, phone number, email address, service address and vehicle details, when you book an appointment or contact us.
Ordinary server logs. The request itself: the page asked for, the browser that asked, and the network address it came from. That is what any web server records.
Google Analytics. The public pages carry Google Analytics so we can see which of them people actually use. It records the page you looked at, roughly where in the world the request came from, and whether you arrived from a search or a link, and it sets its own cookies to tell one visit from the next. It is not tied to your name, and we do not use it for advertising. Google is the one holding that data, under their privacy policy. Browsers set to Do Not Track, and the extensions that block this sort of thing, all work: nothing on this site tries to get around them, and the site works the same either way.
No advertising pixels. Nothing here reports to an ad network, and nothing follows you off this site.

How we use it

To schedule, perform and follow up on the service you requested.
To contact you about your appointment.
To honor warranty claims tied to prior work.
To find the address so we know how long the drive is.

Marketing email

Booking an appointment requires ticking the communication box, which is your consent to be emailed. We record the date, the page it came from and the network address it came from, so there is a record of the permission you gave. That consent covers two different kinds of message:

Messages about your booking. Confirmations, changes, reminders and anything we need to ask you before we turn up. These are part of the service.
Marketing email. Occasional offers, maintenance reminders and news. Every one of these carries an unsubscribe link, and leaving is immediate. Unsubscribing stops the marketing. It does not stop messages about a booking you have made, since you would want to hear from us if we were running late.

We do not rent, sell or share the list.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. There are no advertising or social pixels on this site to share it with.

Sharing

We share information only with the services that run this one, and only with what each needs to do its job:

Vercel hosts the site and the booking system.
Neon holds the database the bookings are stored in.
Resend sends the email, so it handles your address and the message itself.
OpenStreetMap turns the address you give us into a point on a map, so the schedule knows how far away you are. It receives the address and nothing else, not your name or your email.

Beyond those, only where the law requires it.

Cookies

Booking sets no cookies. The cookies on this site are Google Analytics ones, named _ga and _ga_L74P1EKNRZ, which are what let it tell a returning visit from a new one. They hold a random identifier and nothing about you. Clearing them, blocking them or using a browser that refuses them costs you nothing here.

There is no advertising tag and nothing that follows you to another site. The only other cookie anywhere is the sign-in cookie on our own staff console, which is not part of the public site and only keeps someone signed in while they work.

Retention

The guarantee on our work runs three years, so we keep what a claim needs for at least that long after the job: who you are, what we did, and when. Accounting records are kept as long as the law requires. Ask us to delete what is left beyond that and we will.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. To make a request, contact us at hello@crystalbeamrestoration.com. We will honor a request of this kind whether or not a statute obliges us to.

We answer these whether or not a statute obliges us to, so there is no threshold to argue about and nothing to prove about where you live.
